I'm a stay-mostly-at-home, homeschooling mom of three. My oldest has cdh, and this blog will tell all about our journey with her condition as well as tell about our day to day living...it's usually a bit crazy, but always fun!

Our Weekend....

Was busy!
We had a great week last week - school was wonderful (picts to follow maybe this afternoon - we'll see), and each evening was full.  I'm glad the Olympics are now over - maybe I can start getting to bed at a decent hour. Whose idea was it to put all the "good" stuff so late at night?
This week is going to be nuts. Ever have one of those?  Where it is Monday morning, and the list of the "to-dos" is longer then the time you have alloted, and yet somehow you have to get it all done?
Yeah, I'm there this week.
School, work, home, friends. It's all combining and overloading me at the moment.
One step at a time I guess.
We'll have school this morning.
But first I have got to empty our pool.
It's green.
And Jake puked in it yesterday (blackberry nutragrain bar).
It's lovely.  Sort of a greenish pukish color.
It's gone.
My next chore (next week maybe?) will be painting a soccer field in the backyard.  How fun will that be?
But other things first.
Pool, school, visit gymnastics and karate (to see if it's worth the money), clean my house, brave the basement (we still haven't caught a mouse I saw there last week!) to do the laundry, mop my kitchen, plan for work, get a sitter, send a trillion emails for work and homeschooling, finish my co-op lesson plans...YIKES!
Stop the world, I wanna get off!
Actually, my world, albeit busy is good right now.  I can't really complain.
Can you all pray for a friend of mine?  Praying for "Stacy's friend" will be just fine.  She's going through a lot right now, and because she is one of my dearest friends I want many people to pray.  Pray that God would move, and comfort, and show His hand.  Pray that she would have courage and trust, energy and abounding loving forgiveness.
That's all for now.  My house is silent - never a good thing.  Wondering what the heck the kids are up to.
Love,
Stacy

Woah, I'm on a roll

Kiddos are watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the movie - yikes, can we say "gag me with a wooden spoon"??  Heehee - a little retro saying to go with the yucky retro movie) anyhow...they are watching, and I've escaped in here to down load some cuteness.
You might be wondering (I'm pretty sure my family is anyhow)...What does homeschooling look like?  Here are two small examples.  Notice in the second video how I'm interrupted?  Yeah, pretty normal.  :)  They are cats in the video because it is "c" week.  You'd be amazed at how happy that made them.

Okay, so you know the photos you saw blueberry picking?  Well, while we were waiting in the car for the other family we went with, (note I was NOT driving at the time) I pulled out the camera to video Bridgette worshipping.  I just love that she does this.  In the car, no matter where we are, she sings and sings and totally hams it up when I have the camera out.  Not that I often pull the camera out in the car - oh, you know what I mean.  I just love to hear her sing to the Lord.  Here's a small sampling:

For several nights now, we've been going bike riding.  Yes, I realize Bee's bike is way too small. We're working on that. In the mean time, we're getting lots of practice in - our goal is to be off (both big kids) training wheels by the end of the summer!  We'll see how that goes.  Here's a few videos of bike riding. Enjoy!

Okay, that is all I have for tonight. I'm off to clean the kitchen and prepare for tomorrow.
Love,
Stacy

I just realized....

That I didn't add any photos of Steve's company picnic/day at the zoo.  I'll find where they are (somewhere on the computer) and make another folder in the photo section for it...if the boys will play peacefully in the tub for a few more minutes!

Photos

With school in full swing (and my IHIP finally done) I haven't had much time to post.  I just edited a bunch of photos from the last two weeks, so I'll put those up and let them speak for themselves.
In a nutshell: blueberry picking, school, daddy's 32nd birthday and some random cuteness.
Bee is doing better, and although she is still burping, is no longer throwing up!  Yeah for Bee!
Lex had his 6yr (okay 6year three month) well visit today, and was solid as a horse as always.  He was very manly until the needle came out - then he screamed like a little girl. His daddy would have been so proud.  :)
Oh, and the cat photos - it's "c" week!
Love,
Stacy

Update

Not to be totally gross - but she is doing a bit better today. She is still burping, but didn't throw up at all. She also didn't eat as much as she has been - but I'll take that over throwing up.
She seemed to be feeling fine.  She even ate some of daddy's birthday cake!
We'll keep you updated. Please keep praying.
I'm off to plan next week's school and write the kids' IHIP (I know, I know, I'm totally behind on that).
I'll have tons of photos from last week as soon as I finish the jobs I "have" to do.  :)  I need to mommy myself!  No fun until the work is done.
Love,
Stacy
